Sorry to this, but this is a carefully thought out political decision. And definitely not the correct decision. Before the pitchforks are raised against me, let me detail my opinion. Already because of decades old reservations, general category has far less seats available. And now you have carved out more 10℅ from that. Time to stop playing politics. Time to weed out this perennial problem. Chuck out all reservations. For those who are really economically backward, give them money to attend better schools and have more learning opportunities. However, all entrance exams and admissions should be merit based. My solution may not be perfect, but I think it is correct. Put in your comments and let's engage in healthy discussion.
